Cebu City – Keeping up with current trend in information dissemination, the National Nutrition Council Region VII partners with the Cebu Online New Press Corps to promote healthy nutrition by producing, disseminating, and popularizing accurate nutrition information that would influence the nutrition behaviors of Central Visayas through online platforms.
To make the partnership official, a Memorandum of Agreement signing was scheduled on 01 March 2024, officially beginning the partnership for the year promoting key messages for nutrition based on the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023-2028.
The PPAN 2023-2028 aims to reduce malnutrition across all life stages. It includes interventions that focus on healthier diet, better practices, and improve access to quality services. It is a social behavior change communication program that actively promotes healthy eating with the goal of enhancing family knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors around nutrition to raise demand for sufficient, wholesome, and secure food.
The Memorandum of Agreement ensures the articles are engaging, of the highest caliber, and adhere to the goals and parameters of this agreement. Collaborate among its members to publish and disseminate NNC activities in video reels through all their media platforms.
