The Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development (MIND) 7 lauded the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region VII’s efforts in nutrition documentation, as the government agency reminded members of the Regional Management Conference about the importance of submitting regular reports — including the local nutrition committee (LNC) reports — to track the implementation of nutrition programs.

The reports are receipts of the LNCs’ efforts and serve as a basis for identifying good practices and gaps for improved implementation in the future, as well as supporting awards and recognition. The reports to be submitted include the Operation Timbang (OPT) Plus report, local nutrition committee functionality report, local nutrition cluster functionality reports, LNAP accomplishment reports, nutrition month reports, and BNS masterlists.

NNC Region 7 asked the local government units to follow the provided schedule for regular reporting, as it provided tips on how to maximize the eOPT tool for data validation, review, analysis, and presentation.

Sepcifically, through different online resources, the government agency gave guidance on preparing OPT Plus reports for the local nutrition committee after entering data into the eOPT tool. It suggested several forms to be prepared, including Form A as a master list of preschool children, Form B as a summary of the community's nutrition status, and Form C as a list of affected/at-risk preschool children under five years of age.

It emphasized the importance of presenting these forms to the local nutrition committee, signed by the BNC chair, BNS, and nutrition action officer, and filed for future reference.//MIND 7, with NO III Nasudi G. Soluta, RND, of NNC Region VII
